We started off at The Devil's Elbow, about 25 miles South of Yachats. Not very exciting, really. The area is more known for the lighthouse than anything else, and I'm not really into lighthouses. Generally something is named with the Devil's moniker when it smashes waves against the rocks hard enough to kill a few folk who got too close. If you hike around to the two rock formations protruding from the water you can see some of this action, but it's nothing compared to The Devil's Churn. The Elbow also lacked a suitable sign for taking photos with The Evil One.
